AlkaCare® & Glyco-Thymoline®

AlkaCare® & Glyco-Thymoline® are alkaline cleansing solutions primarily used as a mouthwash and gargle. Both can be used as part of an oral hygiene program or for personal hygiene. Perfect for creating a refreshingly clean mouth while delicate enough to use on skin.

Cayce recommended using Glyco-Thymoline in many readings. It is still manufactured by the same family owned company. AlkaCare shares the same great benefits as Glyco-Thymoline and is also offered as a clear formula, known as AlkaCare^® Natural Clear.

Cayce emphasized the necessity of an alkaline mouthwash and gargle:

(Q) Which is the best antiseptic to use for the mouth?
(A) … Glyco-Thymoline, for both of these are NOT acid, and the body reaction IS acid, so that opposite or alkaline is much better than acid antiseptic for the body …

(Q) Should any local treatment be given for the mouth?
(A) Wash or gargle with Glyco-Thymoline, – full strength.

(Q) What produces the canker sores in the mouth? What will prevent them?
(A) These are from the acidity in the system. Thus necessity of eliminating the poisons by the colonics, the general hydrotherapy treatments. If these will be used, a good alkaline antiseptic for gums such as … Glyco-Thymoline, we find this will aid in keeping the mouth fresh and clear.

Glyco-Thymoline:

Often used as a gargle and mouthwash, Cayce also recommended a few drops taken internally to keep the system alkaline. A pack can be made by soaking three thicknesses of cloth in Glyco-Thymoline.

Glyco-Thymoline packs have been found to be particularly effective in relieving sinusitis, as Cayce recommended:

“We would use the Glyco-Thymoline packs over the nasal passages, or sinus passages. Saturate 3 to 4 thicknesses of cotton cloth, or gauze, in warm Glyco-Thymoline, and apply over the passages, allowing such a pack to remain on for 15 to 20 minutes at the time-and keep up until the passages are clear. Apply such packs whenever there is any distress-either in the sinus or in the digestive system. Such packs may also be applied over the abdominal area to advantage as well as over the face, see?”

Cayce’s recommendations on using it internally:

“…2 to 3 drops in 1/2 a glass of water about twice a day (and drink a glass of water afterwards) until the system has been purified.”

“…[take] 3 drops… in water before retiring at night… the Glyco-Thymoline acts as an intestinal antiseptic of an alkaline nature.”

…take small quantities – 8 to 10 drops – of an intestinal antiseptic… or that as is found in any of these that are of alkaline reaction.”

Other remedies mentioning Glyco-Thymoline are as follows:

Sunburn: “… for the sunburn [use] any application that would act as a balm, in the forms of some characters of oils that remove the fire from the affected areas-such as Glyco-Thymoline^®.” (Cayce) When asked what “special combination [could] be used to prevent serious results from sunburn,” the response was: “Soak a washcloth or towel with full-strength Glyco-Thymoline or apple cider vinegar and place it on the area.”

Canker Sores: “[Canker Sores] are from the acidity in the system… If there will be used a good alkaline antiseptic for the gums, such as Glyco-Thymoline, we find that this will aid in keeping the mouth fresh and clean.” In Dr. William McGarey’s “Commentary” in the Circulating File on Atomidine [Atomic Iodine^™], he mentions a report by Dr. Harvey Rose delivered at the twelfth annual A.R.E Medical Symposium regarding “several hundred instances in which he used Atomidine and Glyco-Thymoline locally to canker sores of the mouth. The response was rapid and complete in well over 90% of the cases when the lesion was touched with a Q-tip dipped in Atomidine for 10-15 seconds, then flushed with Glyco-Thymoline.”

Insect Bites/Stings: Apply Glyco-Thymoline on the bite or sting; it acts also as an anti-septic for minor cuts and scratches, but this application is no longer mentioned in “Instructions for Use” that accompanies the product.
