In light of the COVID-19 pandemic that has swept the planet, I have begun a search and study of all the Cayce readings on communicable diseases. Part of this research was inspired by Dr. Eric Mein, who is currently leading a team of Cayce health experts, monthly and online, in updating all of the Circulating Files on Cayce’s health readings. Dr. Mein asked me to investigate the files on the flu to see what might apply to the coronavirus. Since there were no readings specific to the coronavirus, I considered all of the information on preventing and treating infections. I was amazed at the insights in the readings, and I was able to connect many of the dots among the different coronavirus-related symptoms. I now have a better understanding of how so many people can have severe reactions or die from COVID-19 while others remain asymptomatic or only mildly affected. After studying the readings and the current evidence, data, and autopsy reports on COVID-19, I believe the Cayce readings have much to offer us in our troubled time.
“The day may yet arrive when one may take a drop of blood and diagnose the condition of any physical body.” (Cayce)
The key factor with the virus seems to be controlling inflammation reactions in the blood. I remembered a clue from the readings that stated: “The day may yet arrive when one may take a drop of blood and diagnose the condition of any physical body.” (Cayce) Cayce repeatedly emphasized the importance of healthy circulation and keeping the blood alkaline: “There is no condition existent in a body, the reflection of which may not be traced in the blood supply. The blood stream not only carries the rebuilding forces to the body; it takes the used forces and eliminates them through their proper channels in the various portions of the system. We find red blood, white blood and lymph, all carried in the veins. These are separated only by those very small portions that act as builders, strainers, destroyers or resuscitating portions of the system. For always in the blood stream there is seen the reflection or evidence of that condition being enacted in the physical body.” (Cayce)
Think about it: your blood is literally a watery, tube-enclosed highway. If kept clean, well-nourished, alkaline, and circulating, it can destroy most pathogens before they become a problem. But if the blood is sluggish, acidic, and congested with pro-inflammatory cells, excessive sugars, and lingering wastes, it becomes more like a swampy construction zone you have to drive through during rush-hour traffic. Introduce an infection into this system, and the system is in even more trouble. You see? Blood is the connective tissue that is the link between all of your organs, tissues, and cells, so a backup in one area will affect all the others.
Autopsies of COVID-19 victims reveal a presence of inflammatory reactions in the lungs as well as the liver and kidneys, with blood clots prevalent throughout multiple organs—just as Cayce described. In a reading given to a man suffering from the flu, Cayce explained this concept further: “There be given in this connection as how this particular body would be, and is, affected by the bug or the germ known as flu, or influenza. In this condition we find the effect is to cause first the activity of the toxins of the system in relation to the acidity of the blood supply . . . and in effect to that of the producing of inflammation—which causes then the pressure in the circulation, and temperature in the body. . . . The danger lies, then, in this becoming distributed in such a manner through the lungs, the bronchials, and the upper passages as to cause these same congestion in heart’s action and in brain reflexes.” (Cayce)

Here then are some treatments Cayce might recommend for COVID-19, as well as solutions based on current research and evidence.
Establish good eliminations by using laxatives, colonics, and enemas as well as increasing fiber intake and keeping well hydrated. The following were also recommended: Fletcher’s Castoria, now known as Fletcher’s Laxative (take 2 teaspoonfuls every two hours (Cayce); bicarbonate of soda—rectified bicarbonate, not baking soda (take 1/3 teaspoon with 1 teaspoon of fine cracker crumbs, wait twenty minutes, and then take water with a pinch of slippery elm (to produce an alkaline reaction that is lethal to intestinal flu germ). Also helpful is applying castor-oil packs for three days, followed by 2 tablespoons of olive oil after the third day.
Diet is very important. An alkaline-reacting diet is recommended to maintain proper blood chemistry, which means eating mostly fruits and vegetables, including regular portions of dark lettuce, carrots, and celery, and especially including citrus fruits, which can be as simple as adding fresh lemon to water. You might also want to take a look at my Cayce-based detox-juicing video on YouTube: just search for “Heal Thyself with Dr JP Amonte – Detox Juicing” at YouTube.com. Also, take good care to avoid heavy starches, meats, and foods high in sugar.
Use inhalants. I would recommend trying some of these: the Charred Oak Keg (add apple brandy) and Inspirol® inhalant, both available from Baar Products. Chest massage, onion poultices, ultraviolet ray treatments, and Calcidin will relieve congestion and improve breathing for lower respiratory conditions.
Practice deep breathing. Breathing exercises and being outdoors as much as possible in the fresh air will improve eliminations through the lungs and increase blood flow.
Cultivate a positive mental attitude. Daily meditation and the use of affirmations will redirect thoughts to a helpful and hopeful attitude. An impressive body of studies and ongoing research show the many benefits of meditation on health and well-being. The importance of a positive mental attitude could well explain why increased depression, stress, worry, and anxiety may be linked to more severe COVID-19 symptoms.
Other treatments include spinal massage and adjustments to improve both circulation and eliminations, as well as relieving pressures along the spinal centers. Recommended recovery treatments were cabinet sweats (saunas and infrared saunas) followed by massages, and in several cases, the Radiac®, the Wet Cell Battery, and the Violet Ray were recommended when the condition had started to improve.
There are certainly other recommendations and treatments, along with considering the astrological influences and spiritual lessons involved with disease and healing. By using a holistic approach and combining several therapies to care for the body, mind, and spirit, we may be able to ward off most disease. Please consult a healthcare practitioner whenever possible, and listen carefully to your body for guidance when beginning any new treatments.
Finally, we would like to do more research, so if you’re interested in supporting a research study or have insights to share, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. May peace and health be with you.
